The ideal time for travel is monsoon. Safety must always be our first priority when its travel and lifestyle. Hence certain precautions must be considered to ensure safe travel and bike rides during monsoon. Bike reservation is now convenient and affordable due to the emergence of rental sites.
The demand for bike reservation is now increasing. In fact, brands like Harley Davidson, get almost 100 and plus bookings at the launch in just five weeks. Considering all these aspects, ensuring safe bike ride is more essential and important.
For a secure and safe scooty or bike ride during monsoon, practicing these tips is important:
- Limit your riding speed: Its advisable to reduce the speed while driving on wet roads. Maintaining a speed of 30-50 km per hour is required for a secure ride during monsoon.
The first showers as in beginning of monsoon must be avoided for secure monsoon ride. In case of foggy whether, your bike riding speed must be low
- Ensure safe distance: Potholes on roads are majorly trending in news in Mumbai or outside. Hence, its essential to keep distance while bike riding between other vehicles and yours. Traction may take time for a bike while monsoon ride because of wet roads. Hence driver must be careful for safe bike rides. After your bike booking, further checks include using gentle breaks, proper headlights , monsoon gear and surroundings
- Use gentle breaks: Disc and drum breaks are perfect for your bike ride during monsoon. They are important to keep the bike speed in control during wet roads in monsoon. Reducing the bike speed by pressing the drum breaks and pushing the disc breaks must be practiced.
Proper Monsoon gear as in a helmet and proper monsoon wear will always help for secure monsoon bike travel. This will result in the ride to be secure as well as per your convenience
- Headlights: Turning on the headlights will lead to more visibility for safe bike ride in monsoon. The traffic nearby will be aware of your presence and will ride accordingly in monsoon. - Monsoon surroundings: Since its monsoon time, the surroundings must be taken care of. Falling trees, water logging, puddles are experienced. In such a situation, ensuring that the engine is on boil and in working condition would be wise for safe monsoon ride. Its wise not to travel in heavy downpour for a safe monsoon ride. Traction as in keeping control over road can be a problem. Hence its suggested to ignore potholes or puddles
Its essential to consider all these factors before bike reservation or bike booking for monsoon. Monsoon rides can always be experienced but the above factors are essential for a secure or safe bike ride. For ensuring a safe ride, features such as tyre conditions,proper grip, tyre pressure, water proofing must be in control after bike booking.
