The ideal time for travel is monsoon. Safety must always be our first priority when its travel and lifestyle. Hence certain precautions must be considered to ensure safe travel and bike rides during monsoon. Bike reservation is now convenient and affordable due to the emergence of rental sites.

The demand for bike reservation is now increasing. In fact, brands like Harley Davidson, get almost 100 and plus bookings at the launch in just five weeks. Considering all these aspects, ensuring safe bike ride is more essential and important.

For a secure and safe scooty or bike ride during monsoon, practicing these tips is important:

• Limit your riding speed: Its advisable to reduce the speed while driving on wet roads. Maintaining a speed of 30-50 km per hour is required for a secure ride during monsoon.

The first showers as in beginning of monsoon must be avoided for secure monsoon ride. In case of foggy whether, your bike riding speed must be low

Mumbai Faces a Meat Ban Recently

On the basis of excess hype given in social and other digital media, the Meat Ban must be highlighted. The Jain community is performing an important role as this ban is exercised during their fasting period.

Several questions struck minds as to, “Are Hindus receiving a reasonable side” and “Why did the Jains suddenly receive such importance?”  It’s a non-agreed fact that meat must be banned all over in Mumbai just because Jains don’t find it feasible. There are several protests happening regarding this issue. This case has reached the higher authorities concerned such as Bombay High Court and BMC.

It’s accepted that every religion has their own code of conduct and their own set of rules. But that does not mean that there must be a ban at such a level. Still negotiations are taking place as to whether there must be a complete ban or not. No offence against the Jain community, but they are right on their part too.

The proposal for a ban on temporary basis is right, as it would be fair on the side of Jains too. Hindus can wait till the ban is removed.

As a mark of respect to the Jain community, a temporary meat ban has been exercised.       This will be surely in favor of the Jain community.

There has been immense politics that’s happening on this issue. The BJP and Shiv Sena are also involved in this case. The Shiv Sena president opposed to this ban and was of the opinion that he would ensure that they would have no such law in future. But later due to opposition from the Congress, this ban was made on temporary basis.

Such civic issues are highly addressed by the media. This is not an issue of magnitude and value as it’s just a 4-day ban. The decision is taken in such a way that neither the Jains nor the Hindus would suffer in any way possible.

Certain factors that come out through this decision would be:

• No bias towards any religion, caste or creed
• Justification provided as to why there was a ban
• Involvement of politicians and higher authorities made this most talked about controversy
• One sidedness towards any community or religious body not preferred.

With more books available, bloggers need reviews as to which one would suit their needs. Thus media people need these reviews. From books such as photography to digital and alternative media, they all provided insights into streams. Certain aspects and scenarios were revealed.

These reviews will often enlighten students, teachers and professionals about the status of other streams in media. Writing these blogs was beneficial for me in terms of tips and domains that books in media emphasize on.

Review would be the analyzing, interpretation and summary of media book. On the basis of the review, reader decides whether to read the book or not. Thus in order to get more media readers, review should be best. Critics have a major and lead role in reviewing a film. Equally criticizing or speaking well or mentioning positive aspects of a book is essential. Being a good critic also helps at times. Nowadays audience demands books of thought & creativity.  This was the policy towards the reviews of books.

Tried to be as diverse and varied as possible with reviews on photography books and others. Authors and writers of today are presenting facts and reality in media through books but to what extent this can be used in practical work would be a question. With emerging facts of technology, commercialisation that writers mention, media environments keep changing.

Received comments and interaction was possible not much but then bloggers being book readers had concern over the reviews that could help them in choosing the right book. Aspects that were considered for book reviews were unique aspects, importance of the book and criticism if any. General synopsis of books was provided. Images were included too. Television being a medium that’s majorly consumed and its effect largely felt, its role and importance in the media would be largely felt.

As student with proficiency in media, compelling factor to read this book will be its being connected with social importance of television and other genres that are widely seen by viewers.

Apart from the common aspects that are related to television, this book explains majorly on theory and concepts related to genres, mediated knowledge, imaginary spaces with other concepts. Television being the most consumed by the audience, content and knowledge aspects are mostly given emphasis. Television being a medium that helps viewers attains perception of the world. It helps democracy to develop through involvement of citizenry. This conveys the utility of the book.

Genres of tv programme formats was an interesting read for me compared to other sections. Concept of public sphere that’s given more emphasis with awakening that tv disseminates is given importance. These would be the features of this book.

After going through the book, television concepts come back in mind and its value was felt again. Readers would have the same reaction to this book. Book makes a mention of eminent theorists in terms of television and excerpts from publications.

Readers would love reading on TV news as that has large viewership and its interpretation will surely help. Diverse topics in terms of this domain and contributions of televisions for betterment of community are included. Theories and real cases in terms of effects on audience and masses would be found.   

Overall, my rating for this book would be compelling read or the best in terms of ‘knowledge’ domain of television. Comparing this one with previous criticism would be unjust but still both being from different domains in television, they are best and provide credible info in their respective areas or domains.

As facts, phenomenon and other occurences are happening, greater number of books are available. Emphasis given to ordinary citizens and their role in media are now gaining attention. Graeme Turner focuses on local and normal people in the community that has made the new tendency towards blogging possible.

After a glance and analysis of this book, it contains the dimension that would be of use to those into news reporting.

This would benefit the ‘would be famous’  news reporters of tomorrow as they might use these online and web streams for expression of facts, opinions in form of feature articles and news reports. Too much of content in this book and least of images would make this book least credible for a person with media proficiency as in me.  

This book receives an incredible response from professors around foreign universities that makes it ideal reading.

It elaborates more in context of television and the domain within which television operates. Author makes her work credible as the content reflects her expertise in terms of importance of ordinary masses in media. Emphasis on Theory, Culture and society will make this one a credible read.

My Rating for this one would be better in terms of format, content that book supplies. All those bloggers or ordinary people wishing to manifest their forte in media, this book will be worth trying.

Importance of this book won’t be much as it’s from television domain.  Need or demand for media content in terms of television would be more and thus this book looks ideal.

Creation of specific content is dealt in this book and will focus on theory of television, its effect on culture and society. Author presents mix of television and ordinary citizen’s role in it. Reason for choosing this would be that any source of information as in books hardly or rarely gives emphasis to importance of ordinary citizens in scenario of media. This is reflected in this book.
