World Wide Web proves to be great resource for books in media.  To what extent these books can be reliable for reviews will be an aspect that’s on my mind. Book reviews after writing so many really prove to be of great help and gladness to me with knowledge, though it was tedious for me. Thus sharing this with others was of great boon to me.

With this intention that my ideology towards ‘books’ in specific areas of media reach the masses and knowledge that was shared. This may provide the readers with proper direction towards the knowledge necessary, I hope.

Alex Larg and Jane wood being experts themselves, offer vast knowledge on photography and this book works as a great resource for purpose of designing and art direction. Their contribution to the field of photography looks immense and all technical aspects being mentioned.

Visual arts can be best interpreted and known from this while gaining some insight into photography.

As its photography book, it explains procedures and techniques with an illustration besides it for images to be clicked. Be it clothes, portraits, Beauty shots, it offers wide info and techniques on all these areas. Images used in this book, are appealing. Some of them are least credible. Content here with more emphasis to lighting can actually help as that’s essential for a better image.

Portraits section can be an interesting read. Instruments and devices that are actually used will be unique aspect. It needs more of tips and techniques that this book provides. It makes a mention of equipment’s that amateurs won’t possess and thus due to lack of financial or other aspects may not be used by some.  Thus all of these techniques may not be practised by person into photography for the sake of it. In case of professional possessing equipment, studios and other aspects or devices needed, can actually work on all techniques with sketches mentioned in the book.

With advance technologies and softwares that are known today and techniques that can make the image look better, this book supplies data for better and improvised end result. Overall, it caters to the needs of those into photography and those not into it. This can be an interesting, informative  read for all. Bias that’s the real term when concerning, content in certain stream of media needs attention too. Authors here have no bias here as mentioned.

Previous book on phtography by David daye will be least reliable as this can be better in terms of the content, techniques, format, areas in photography that it covers. This can be known as an improvised and developed version for the previuos one. Art directors, those into visual arts, students, professionals will make good use and gain from this one. As the authors suggest, this ones really helpful AND Of use in terms of work for many. Authors would also like to know f any of our work can be published.

Tech savvy masses with their domain of expertise in photography can actually try this book out.

Women’s spirit can be conveyed via media too.

As Women keep exceling in different areas and streams, they do so in the media too.  They are now a strong force today proving them. They are emerging and making themselves known in every aspect be it politics, sports, education and others.

Writing blogs and book reviews can be tedious but book reviews on women in media looks interesting to me. Women again are an aspect here much emphasized. Author Dr. Nisha Pawar presents Theoritical Dimension-Women and Indian print media. Connection and association of women with newspapers majorly here is considered. Being a professor herself, she writes on issues of ladies covered and reported in newspapers. This book makes me aware of women issues that are reported, problems that women face majorly while commuting etc.

Author on the basis of her previous works must be known as eminent and noted one with great experience from media. The content reflects her being experienced and veteran in sense of knowledge and shows her achievements with recognitions.  More theoretical content in the book included as the tittle suggests. Thus practical facts from the real print journalism scenario might be lacking from the book.  Her contribution towards this area of knowledge that’s journalism and media looks vast.

The tittle Women and Print media depicts that it’s based on position and designation of women in media. Her place in any form and area of media is made more credible through this book.

Specifically this book can be the one for those into journalism and media. Also for those not into it this can be well informative, reliable and interpreted read.  It provides the readers and users with an account of theory and history on ladies in print media. Images and Visuals lacking can make the information of least interest. Still it’s informative and reliable or credible reading this book. Intention for selecting this book will be its relatedness with print media and journalism.  Growth and emergence of working ladies in journalism as well as issues that are reported in English newspapers are concern in this group. Illustrations are not at all utilised in this book as told previously and thus may not be preferred by some.

As women and ladies keep emerging or make themselves known, in each areas of media this book reveals the facts. This book can be an interesting read for those realizing that with proliferation of newspapers the working ladies in the media are strengthening their position too.

This book mentions the inputs and quotes from experts and professionals from the journalism and media scenario that it self proves that it’s a benefit for those reading. These quotes and opinions from experienced professors help the bookworm to decide whether to read or not.

As per my ratings for this book, its better as it possess some features and unique ponts that can be od use to students, researchers, media employees, professionals concerned with development in terms of women and ladies in all streams of media.  Womens aspects in terms of all streams in media are mentioned here in this book.

Overall, it contains an indepth and detailed decsription over facts in print media or other areas of media.  Criticism for this book looks least, still the author tries to make it worthwhile and credible by mentioning UNESCO and other such aspects.
